Pier Insurance

Pier insurance policies offer vital protection against the unpredictable power of Mother Nature and the unavoidable sea conditions. Piers were originally one of the key features of any seaside town but nowadays there are only approximately 50 usable piers in the UK, with a number of areas such as Brighton and Bournemouth having more than one.

Unfortunately piers are fragile structures and are constantly under attack from the sea, eroding their foundations and making them more unstable with each passing day.

Pier Insurance can be difficult to find as many insurers do not look favourably on providing protection for such a fragile structure. Alan & Thomas Marine Trade Insurance specialise in sourcing the best pier insurance policies available and helping our clients protect a key feature of their local area.

If you operate a pier, your insurance requirements will be very specific and you’ll want peace of mind that your operations are properly covered for all eventualities. Here at Alan & Thomas, we have a team of marine trade insurance experts who can offer a free review of your existing pier insurance arrangements as well as your current business operations so that they can tailor an insurance policy to your exact requirements.

In addition to a detailed knowledge of the marine insurance market, our advisers have a personal interest in the marine sector so you can be assured of professional, informed and friendly advice, as well as the very highest levels of customer service.
